Pricing is based on quantity of labels purchased, label size, and the number of colors. Specialty papers and dies are also a factor.
For printing, our normal turnaround time is 10 working days from final artwork approval. Schedules for digital printing vary based on the complexity of the project.
FS Label accepts print-ready files in any of the following formats: .ai, .eps, .jpg, .pdf, .psd, .tif. Please e-mail any additional questions to artwork@fslabel.com.
Computer monitors emit color as RGB (Red, Green, Blue) light. Cyan, Magenta and Yellow pigments, along with Black (K) are used in printing. The same art displayed on a computer monitor may not match to that printed in a publication. Spot colors, or Pantone colors, are specific mixes of inks to make a specific color.
Raster art, such as a gif or jpeg, is an array of pixels which together form an image. A vector graphic, such as an .eps file or Adobe Illustrator file, is composed of paths. Because vector graphics are not made of pixels, the images can be scaled to be very large without losing quality. Raster graphics become “blocky,” since each pixel increases in size as the image is made larger. This is why logos and other designs are typically created in vector format—the quality will look the same on a business card as it will on a poster.
